Learning Guide: Consumer Power
Author: Emilce Barón – Description: This English self-study guide helps you to give practice in talking about what you will normally
do in real-life situations. All the activities are related to the topic of describing how to be an
ethical consumer in English, Please! 2 Module 2 Unit 3 Lesson 8, pages 77,78, 80. It starts with
some vocabulary revision activity. Then, you have to read the article and match the headlines
to the paragraphs. After that you have to study the grammar rule about first conditional form
and complete the sentences, then, write sentences about how to be an ethical consumer. Later,
you listen to an audio about a conversation between friends that helps you to recognize what
they are saying about their shopping habits. It ends up recording a video or audio about the
sentences you wrote in activity # 4. If you don’t have access to internet you will make an
advertising brochure for a product.
